ROCKINGHAM MOTOR SPEEDWAY

Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, Northamptonshire was the vision of, and delivered by, Axiom’s Managing Director Peter Davies.

A good idea over a Christmas beer in 1989, this major project was a journey of commitment and determination. Outline planning consent was achieved in 1991 and it took another six years in which to procure detailed panning consent, a consortium of committed future operating partners, investors and construction delivery partners to build the track on-time and on-budget for the 2001 racing season.

This extraordinary project saw the regeneration of 275 acres of British Steel land, bringing together multiple stakeholders to introduce a large scale motorsports facility to Corby, providing employment opportunities and investment to the local area.
